The Tudor
WHITEFISH BAY, WISCONSIN
This Whitefish Bay Tudor underwent a full interior gut renovation, providing a clean slate for a layout that was thoughtfully designed to the lifestyle of the homeowner’s young family of four. The goal was to make this house a home where all the family functions could take place, with conversation areas and nooks to entertain in, all while maintaining a seamless flow for movement throughout. The desired concept was to combine everyday functionality with magazine-worthy style - every room, every detail.
Each space was intentionally designed to feel sophisticated, timeless, and effortlessly livable. The small entry foyer has BIG personality with wallpaper on the ceiling surrounding a Sputnik light fixture and a custom-made boot bench, with a splash of color pulled from the Rifle Paper Co. wallpaper. The kitchen has a custom table with a built in L-shaped bench, large enough to seat kids, friends and family. A hand-woven chandelier was placed above to add interest, texture and that extra ‘wow’ factor.
The round table in the dining room creates an intimate setting for conversation while the oversized rattan chandelier emphasizes a vibe that demands attention. Custom window treatments, a hand-woven area rug and the color added to the home’s original built-in cabinets all coordinate to create balance and unify the design. The lower-level lounge is designed with gatherings in mind, effortlessly inviting connection and comfort. With a large modular sectional that can seat ten, a custom counter height table that can seat eight and a bar area all with an uninterrupted view of the TV, seating is maximized for Sunday football. There’s even a hidden playroom under the staircase for the kids!
