FULL SERVICE, endless possibilities.
Fringe offers personalized design service to help you envision your project and create a space that reflects your style, comfort and functionality. Our designers will work with you to prioritize your needs, wants, budgets and timelines. From there they will use their expertise to visualize a design concept, source materials and products that Fringe offers, and present you with spatial plans that best align to you and your home.
Where do I start?
A design consultation is the initial meeting where we get to know you and your design plans better. This can help you envision and plan for your project and is also a great way for you to see if Fringe is a good fit for you. The hour-long meeting will be in person in our showroom or can be done virtually if you’d prefer. The point is to get a better idea of the project to best achieve your design goals and put your plan into action through our high-end design services.
What to expect in your Design Consultation:
During your consultation, we will ask questions about the vision and scope of your project. This will include learning more about your desired style and aesthetic, your budget and timeline. We’ll inquire about what products you may be looking to purchase, those you would like to continue to utilize and what functionality you want to keep or change within the space. From there we can offer direction to address your questions and concerns. The consultant will also provide a walkthrough of our design process and what to expect. For more detailed projects, you may be provided a Design Service Agreement outlining our services and fees.
How to best prepare for your consultation:
To ensure your design consultation will be efficient and effective, we recommend taking a few simple steps before the initial meeting:
After the Design Consultation:
After your consultation we will begin working on your project, creating digital concept boards that bring your vision into reality. We will schedule a follow up meeting to present you with design choices, where you can sit in furnishings and begin to finalize selections. From there, communication moving forward is based on what works best for you and your schedule.
Is there a consultation fee?
With Fringe, your initial design consultation is free (when initial design consultations are usually a couple hundred dollars)!

How to best prepare for your consultation:
To ensure your design consultation will be efficient and effective, we recommend taking a few simple steps before the initial meeting:
- Inspiration photos
Look through magazines or websites and collect images of what your preferred design style is so you can show us how you’d love your home to look and function. This helps us get a feel for your personal aesthetic. - Photos of the space
Photos of the space you’re looking to design will help us visualize the layout. Take photos of the room from opposite sides that give you the best vantage point, or where you can clearly see the most features. - Basic measurements
Even the most basic measurements are nice to have when first discussing your design goals. Knowing the dimensions is a crucial piece of planning that will help us prepare the best options for your space. - Budget
Have a general idea of what your budget is. Having a number that you don’t want to go over will be helpful to know the limits of your budget. - Ideal timeline
What is your desired timeline to complete your project? We want to have an idea of when you plan to begin and how quickly you’d like to complete it.
